About Rust Server Stats

Rust Server Stats keeps the record of every public Rust server, refreshed every five minutes.

The site exists because the in-game server browser answers too few questions. A player about to commit to a wipe wants population over time, not a number caught in one moment. Rust Server Stats reads the public Rust server list, which carries each server's name, player count, queue and published tags. It also queries servers directly for map seed, frame rate and entity count. Some servers do not answer the direct queries, and those show only what the public list reports.

From those sources the site keeps population history, wipes, settings and ranks for every public server. The tables come first; the commentary follows. Rankings are drawn from players over the past week, hour by hour, so a server that stays busy every day ranks above one that fills for a single evening after a wipe. Lists are ordered by player count and never by payment. The full server list, the live player count and the wipe schedule are the starting points; servers just wiped covers those nearest a fresh map.

Rust Server Stats is independent and run by Rust players. It is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios, and nothing on the site is endorsed by them. Server names, descriptions and images belong to the people who run those servers, and every figure is credited to the source it came from.

Corrections begin with the server's own settings, since most records come from what a server publishes; changes appear within about five minutes. If a figure still looks wrong, write to hello@rustserverstats.world.

Q.Questionsand their answers

1.Who runs Rust Server Stats?

Rust Server Stats is an independent site run by Rust players. It is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios, and no part of the site is endorsed by them. Server names, descriptions and images remain the property of the people who run those servers.

2.Where do the numbers come from?

Figures come from the public Rust server list, which reports names, player counts, queues and tags, and from direct queries to servers for map seed, frame rate and entity count. Servers that do not answer direct queries show only what the public list publishes. Each figure is credited to its source, and the data is refreshed every five minutes.

3.How are servers ranked?

Ranks are based on players over the past week, measured hour by hour. A server that stays busy across the week ranks above one that fills for a single evening after a wipe. Lists are ordered by player count and never by payment.
